Privacy

Privacy-first by design.

Kalix is built around local-first storage and private recordkeeping. Your vault lives on your device, not on a server somewhere.

Effective July 23, 2026

Your vault stays on your phone.

Kalix is designed to store core vault data locally on your device. This includes your firearm inventory, ammo records, range logs, notes, media references, and other app data needed for the local vault experience.

Nothing is uploaded automatically, and there's no background sync running against a Kalix server. The data lives in the app's local storage, under your control.

Kalix privacy and backup settings

Backups are yours to create and store.

Kalix lets you create local backup ZIP files on demand: a full export of your vault data and available media. You're responsible for how and where those exported backups are saved, transferred, or stored after export (a Files app, cloud drive, email to yourself, wherever you trust).

No account needed to use the app.

The current release of Kalix does not require a Kalix cloud account to use the core local vault workflow. Add firearms, log ammo and range sessions, attach documents. All of it works fully offline, on-device.

This website is informational only.

kalixapp.com does not currently provide cloud vault access, online account creation, or remote data syncing for the app. It exists to describe Kalix, link to the Google Play listing, and provide a way to reach support.

If that ever changes, this page changes first.

If Kalix later introduces optional cloud backup, sync, web access, or other hosted services, this policy will be updated before those services launch, not after.
